1 month old

Dean is one month old tomorrow.  Man, the time flies!

He is doing so much in just the last few days.  He is turning his head every direction.  He is watching people as they walk by.  He smiles at his brother and sister.

He is getting REALLY big too!  We don't go to the doctors until he is 2 months old, but we know he is getting chunky and that is always a good thing.

We're Still....

Alive.

For the most part.  I have to say 3 kids is a lot harder than I expected, but not as hard as I have heard.  But that could just be because I have awesome kids!

Clayton and Aubrey love their little brother SO much and help me so much with him.  They understand when he is sleeping and when he is eating.  They help me get things when I am holding him.  They give him kisses all the time.  They will try to make him happy by singing and dancing for him.  Clayton actually does this really hilarious belly button dance.  He will pull his shirt up and wiggle around singing "belly button, belly button, belly button"  It is just so funny.

For only being 13 days old, Dean is awesome.  He is generally a happy baby.  When he isn't sleeping (which isn't often) he is awake and looking around.  He only gets really grumpy when he is too tired or too hungry.

Steve is surviving for the most part.  You forget how much husbands do when you have a newborn.  Last night he didn't get too much sleep for some reason.  I think it is because he had to go back to work today and he wasn't excited about it.  He says that every noise would wake him up and he had the strangest dreams.  But he is a trooper and he sure does love his kids.  There is no way that I can EVER say he doesn't love his kids.

I'm doing okay.  I'm happy.  I'm just tired a lot, but that is to be expected.  I wish I had more time to myself, but again that is expected with a newborn.  For example, the big kids woke up a whole hour earlier than what they normally do.  It probably wouldn't have been a big deal if Aubrey was still in a crib, but since she can get up and get around I have to get up and make sure she doesn't get into anything, because if you know Aubrey, you know she will.

We have been trying to find a nickname for Dean and we can't think of anything.  Clayton is "bud bud".  Aubrey is "pumpkin".  What to call Dean?  Steve has been trying out different things.  He called him "Dean-o" one time, but it reminds me of Dino Rossi.  Don't like that at all.  So Clayton has been calling him "little bud bud".  It is so cute.

Sorry no new pictures right now.  It is hard getting the camera out and taking pictures.  I'll get some up soon!
